don't think there much left for anyone to say about the DP 2007 alive tour except that it needs to hit the road again soon. daft punk ruled 2007 (and a good part of 2006 too following their coachella 2006 launch of their new show).

the LA gig was the first part of the north american leg of the alive 2007 tour. support acts in LA were Ratatat followed by a dj set from Sebastian & Kavinsky. a short wait and then came the short harbinger of awesomeness to come -- the signature keys to the theme from clse encounters of the third kind. and then Robot Rock.


photos and videos describe the next 80-90 minutes better than i can. most importantly, if you get the chance, Daft Punk is a must-see live act regardless of your musical tastes. they have raised the live performance spectacle to a new high and, frankly, almost every concert i've seen since has disappointed me a little because no performer has had the same impact.

give us another encore!
