What is NotPaul?
NotPaul is a place for fans to get together online to create and design great events featuring the performers we want to see.
-
What types of events are listed on NotPaul?
There's no limit to the types of events that appear on NotPaul -- music, comedy, lectures, performance art, whatever you can dream up; if there's something amazing you want to bring to your city then there's a place for that event on NotPaul. However, if there are tickets available through regular ticket agents for a performance that is already scheduled to appear in your city in the future, we will disable bidding for the event on NotPaul.
-
Will you charge my credit card when I bid?
No, your credit card will not be charged unless the event you bid on is successfully scheduled within the defined time limits. When that happens we will send you an advance notice giving you an opportunity to cancel your bid.
-
Does it cost anything to bid?
Bidding is free.
-
Can I cancel or change my bid? How does bidding work?
Yes, you can cancel or change your bid at any time before an event is confirmed. Check out
NotPaul's Bid Terms
-
Will an event I bid on definitely happen?
Your bid is part of our collective efforts to get the performance to be scheduled but there is no guarantee it will be scheduled.
-
If the event is scheduled through NotPaul, will I definitely get a ticket?
Your bid has to be successful to guarantee a ticket so it's very important you bid what you feel is appropriate. Your bid is the maximum amount that you offer for a ticket to that event -- if your bid was too low given the available tickets then you will not get a ticket.
-
What happens once I bid?
Don't just sit there! A big part of NotPaul is the DIY sensibilities behind the site. It's about being an active participant in creating these defining events. So let your creative side express itself and post some content in the event's dropbox. Tell other fans about the listing on NotPaul.
-
What is the dropbox?
The goal of the dropbox is to make the event as incredible as possible by letting the fans help design the show itself. In practice, the dropbox is a simple tool for fans (who have bid on that artist's event) to upload creative ideas for the performance.
