Why?

Paul Daley and Neil Barnes started leftfield in 1989 in London. With the release of 1995's Leftism, they became one of the most important and adored electronic acts of the 90's. Along with the Chemical Brothers and Orbital, they played and headlined the biggest festivals and their music defined the genre. They also like to play their sets really loud to the point of having had their soundsystem banned from a few venues.

i've never seen Leftfield play live and am not even sure they've ever played LA or the US. leftfield disbanded in 2002. but i frequently watch clips from their live sets on youtube and i give their albums leftism and rhythm & stealth a few listens every month. and everything they've done has that timeless quality that only the very best electronic music does.

so i suggest you check out some clips and help make this show happen. i think it'd be better than the Underworld show at the bowl last year and that's saying something.
