Why?
Looks like the OC beat LA to something worthwhile for a change: an Orbital reunion show.
The Hartnolls are the grandfathers, fathers, sons, grandsons of electronics. They are it. The total bomb. They set the standard, raised it many time, showed that electronic music live could be a serious show, and pulled a whole genre up to a level where it was was accepted as more than a drug-culture spin-off. I love the Hartnolls.
It's been 4 or 5 years since they split and while the Chemicals have carried the torch and Daft Punk have stepped up big time with a serious live tour, I don't think any self-respecting electronic fan would turn down the opportunity to see Orbital live. In fact, I'd give my unborn first and second born to see a reunion show in LA.
If nothing else, demonstrating our love for the band by contributing to the dropbox would be cool. But I think this could happen.
