Why?
fuagazi and DC. what more is there to say? minor threat? we started punk. ok, we did not. they did. ok.. they didn't but they were instrumental to US punk's progression from a transient music preference to a legitimate lifestytle statement. all of them (it's not just a mackaye thing). so awesome a band. they get mature and go on "hiatus". well the time has come for a reunion. i've been my very own waiting room for almost 5 years and i'm more than ready. i am a patient boy but right now... i don't think it should wait, and wait.....
it's hard to counter fugazi. in many, many ways it's easy to argue with them. but my point is that they're difficult to pass over.
In summary, i think you want to see Fuga.

more to the point -- why wouldn't fans want to help organize something? isn't that what the whole fugazi spirit is about?
i won't lose sleep if the show doesn't happen (that's up to the band and rightly so) but i love the ideas of fans being involved and helping inspire the band (just like they've inspired us).
and if they decide to charge $15 because it's 2008 or 2009 then i'm willing to pay that... that's why the bid is blind. there shouldn't be anything sacred as long as i get to define my own limits. -
