Not sure how NotPaul works?
Haven't used the dropbox yet?
Find out what it is all about.

Why?

well, it's only fitting that one of the inspirations for the creation of notpaul is the first band for which an event is created. why boards of canada?

bit of background in case BOC is new to you. boards of canada is a scottish group consisting of two brothers -- Michael Sandison and Marcus Eoin Sandison -- although it took several years for the group to disclose that they were even brothers! the band came into the limelight following the release of their album, Music Has the Right to Children.

what makes BOC all the more enigmatic is that they've won a significant following without much marketing and without any touring (the band has played a handful of gigs in the UK). every year, the coachella boards light up with rumors and (mostly) hopes that BOC will finally be added to the lineup but it hasn't happened yet....

so it makes a lot of sense that a fan initiated concert may be just the thing to secure a performance. and it's fair to say that creative ideas from fans are likely to be critical to any live performance meeting the hopes of BOC fans so that the live experience lives up to the suggestive visual experience of the music. so i think BOC dropbox contributions will be amazing!

check Boards out on Pandora (while you can -- boo to the RIAA) or last.fm or go ahead and buy their music.

Dropbox

The dropbox is where fans who have bid on an event can upload digital items for the artist to use in the show. You can browse, rate and comment on any of the uploaded items -- hopefully the best will be incorporated into a live performance.

here are a list of the tracks I'd love BoC to utilize in a live set. I'd imagine they'd cut quite a lot and create a sort of melange that transitio... View

that's a good question. the bid better be for the whole lot especially if it's over $50. i think $58 is about spot-on including post/shipping/venue fees and all the other crap.

yes -- it's an all-in bid. but we suggest you factor in those surcharges that you normally see when you purchase tickets online. else your bid may be simply too low.

Music is Math and Everything You Do Is A Balloon were real close to the list... the I reserved the list for the stuff I'd be really disappointed about if it were missing.

very cool and well suited to Music is Math. I think you should develop into an animation. There are lots of mathematical models, series, sequenes that you could explore through animated "educational" sequences. definitely heading in the right direction.

COIPYRIGHT!!! but still... this would be really cool for Music is Math. You should reanimate it yourself -- it's only a sine curve.

yes -- although you might be waiting a while like the rest of us. they haven't played at all live since 2001 and have never player a show in the US. let's hope this Paul character has major pull in Scotland.

i think she means COPYRIGHT!.... but ok dude -- reanimate the sine wave. it does look good. i think the NP peoples should change "do you like this?" to "should this be in the show?"

the idea you posted shouold but not your specific borrowed implementation.

definitely the best so far.... but i think the originals should be uploaded to the dropbox (the section beneath the show description at the top). that way they can be used in the show when it happens (optimistic face).

    but seriously awesome stuff.
